How it works
Eleven seats
Enough for a full group without splitting into separate cars that arrive at different times.
Luggage as well
Airport runs with a bag each are exactly what these are for.
Cheaper than two cars
For five or more passengers a maxi normally beats booking two sedans.
One pickup, one drop
Nobody waits at either end for the second car to turn up.
Airport fares from your suburb
In a maxi taxi, on the day rate. Lock in the fixed price when you book, or ride on the meter.
What people ask
How many people fit in a maxi taxi?
A maxi taxi seats up to eleven passengers with luggage space, which makes it the right choice for group airport transfers, family trips and nights out where one vehicle beats three.
Is a maxi taxi more expensive than a normal taxi?
A maxi carries a surcharge over a sedan, but for a group it is usually cheaper overall. Five people in one maxi normally costs less than the same five people in two sedans, and everyone arrives together.
Can I book a maxi taxi to Melbourne Airport?
Yes, and it is one of the most common maxi bookings. Select maxi taxi when booking, add your flight number, and there is room for a bag each without anyone holding luggage on their lap.
Can I get a fixed price for a maxi taxi?
Yes. Book online, pick the maxi as your car and choose the fixed price on the last step. For a multi stop day or a large event, call (03) 9009 0051 or email 13taxinorthsuburban@gmail.com and we will price the whole job.
Do I need to book a maxi taxi in advance?
It helps. There are fewer maxi vehicles than sedans on the road, so booking ahead is the reliable way to get one at a specific time, particularly for early airport runs.
